This page is meant to serve as an introduction to the Tahoma High School Choir Program. More information such as the Choir Handbook, performance dates, etc. can be found on the choir website.
There are nine choirs at Tahoma High School. Men's Choir and Women's Choir are open to all singers, Beginning Vocal Jazz is open to all students who are also enrolled in one of the other choirs, and the other four choirs are by audition only. Descriptions of each group, as well as video samples from various concerts can be found below.

Chamber Choir
The THS Chamber Choir is our most advanced traditional choir. This 32 voice mixed ensemble performs challenging choral music from all eras. In addition to 7 evening concerts, contests and community performances, the Chamber Choir performs an extended choral work each year. Membership is by audition.
Treble Choir
The THS Treble Choir is a 32 voice auditioned women's choir. This group performs music written for treble voices. They perform in 5 evening concerts, as well as at local contests and exchanges.
Concert Choir
The THS Concert Choir is a large auditioned mixed choir. The group performs traditional choral music from a variety of sources. Concert Choir performs at 5 evening concerts throughout the year, as well as at regional festivals and exchanges.
Men's Choir
The THS Men's Choir is open to all students without audition. This 30-40 voice choir performs at 5 evening concerts throughout the year, as well as at regional festivals and exchanges. This group is the entry point to the choral program for male singers.
Women's Choir
There are currently 3 Women's Choirs at THS. All are open to all students without audition. These 30-40 voice choirs perform at 5 evening concerts throughout the year. These groups are the entry point to the choral program for female singers.
Jazz Choir
The THS Jazz Choir is an auditioned group made up of 16 singers and a rhythm section (piano, bass, drums). The group uses individual microphones to perform a variety of vocal jazz music. They perform at evening concerts, as well as festivals and tours both in and out of state. All Jazz Choir members are also in one of the other traditional choirs.
Beginning Vocal Jazz
The beginning vocal jazz ensemble performs at concerts and festivals throughout the year alongside the Jazz Choir. All Jazz students must also be in one of the traditional choirs.
